Les deux hommes Togolais sont des amis d'enfance. Ils ont créé le concept «ogbragada» - un mélange musical de hip-hop et de rythmique africaine. Ils ont composé plusieurs chansons pour les tournois de football, comme la coupe du monde (2006) et la coupe d’Afrique (2012 et 2015).
Le groupe Toofan a été primé comme meilleur artiste pop africain et du meilleur groupe africain aux All Africa Music Awards 2017, puis comme meilleur
groupe africain et meilleur artiste francophone aux All Africa Music Awards 2018.
Le groupe a signé avec Universal Music France en 2017. Les Toofan exportent leur musique au-delà de l'Afrique de l'Ouest : dans les années 2010 ils ont donné des concerts en France, en Allemagne, États-Unis d'Amérique et en Belgique, entre autres.

The two Togolese men are childhood friends. They created the concept of "ogbragada" - a musical blend of hip-hop and African rhythms. They have composed several songs for football tournaments, such as the World Cup (2006) and the Africa Cup of Nations (2012 and 2015).
The group Toofan was awarded Best African Pop Artist and Best African Group at the All Africa Music Awards in 2017, and then Best African Group and Best Francophone Artist at the All Africa Music Awards in 2018. The group signed with Universal Music France in 2017. Toofan exports their music beyond West Africa: in the 2010s, they performed concerts in France, Germany, the United States, and Belgium, among other countries.
