Pianiste au toucher délicat, de solide formation classique, chanteuse, auteure, compositrice, arrangeuse et réalisatrice de ses propres albums, c’est en vivant l’expérience du jazz à New York que Macha Gharibian commence à créer son univers, mêlé d’empreintes de ses trois cultures : arménienne de ses ancêtres, parisienne où elle vit, et new-yorkaise de passage.
Primée aux Victoires du Jazz dans la catégorie « Révélation » en 2020, depuis 2013 elle a joué à Montreux, Ottawa, New York, Sao Paulo, Bogota, Cali, Moscou, Erevan, Kaboul, Shanghai, Pékin, Taïwan, Belgrade, Skopje, Hanovre, Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, Zurich, Bruxelles, Constantine, Bucarest, et à la Salle Pleyel, l’Olympia, le Théâtre des Abbesses, le Théâtre du Châtelet, le Trianon, les Nuits de Fourvière, Jazz Sous Les Pommiers, Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Paris Jazz Festival, Jazz des Cinq continents, Tourcoing

Biography
A pianist with a delicate touch, a solid classical training, singer, author, composer, arranger, and producer of her own albums, it was by experiencing jazz in New York that Macha Gharibian began to create her universe, blended with the imprints of her three cultures: Armenian from her ancestors, Parisian where she lives, and New York where she stayed temporarily.
Awarded at the Victoires du Jazz in the "Revelation" category in 2020, since 2013 she has played in Montreux, Ottawa, New York, Sao Paulo, Bogota, Cali, Moscow, Yerevan, Kabul, Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan, Belgrade, Skopje, Hanover, Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, Zurich, Brussels, Constantine, Bucharest, and at Salle Pleyel, Olympia, Théâtre des Abbesses, Théâtre du Châtelet, Trianon, Nuits de Fourvière, Jazz Sous Les Pommiers, Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Paris Jazz Festival, Jazz des Cinq Continents, Tourcoing Jazz Festival, Nancy Jazz Pulsation…
